Hearts of Gold 2011 holiday ornaments are on sale now. Share your love for others, honor or remember your loved ones, or purchase one to hang on your holiday tree; this unique holiday ornament, a “Heart of Gold” benefits children and families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga.
When you make a contribution to Ronald McDonald House Charities, a golden ornament, a token of your gift and support, will be sent to the family of the person being remembered or to the honoree with your holiday greeting. Your gift helps provide a “home away from home” for families that need the Ronald McDonald House.
Every year since 1990, the Heart of Gold design has featured an event or a special family who has been helped by Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House Charities. The 2011 Heart of Gold takes the shape of a gingerbread house which paints the picture of “home sweet home.”
“Our Hearts of Gold holiday fundraiser helps us raise funds to support 26 Ronald McDonald House families for about one month. It cost the organization $55 per day to provide a “home away from home” for each family,” said Jane Kaylor, executive director, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga.
“We are thankful for the generosity of friends and supporters over the last 20 years who have made it possible for us to serve more than 10,000 children and families during their hour of need. We hope that you will consider adding a Heart of Gold holiday ornament to your shopping list this year and help us continue to serve families,” said Kaylor.
